The Old Age Pension Order is the close cousin of the postal order that was issued between 1909 and 2005 in the United Kingdom. They were also issued in the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland, but information about these issues are extremely sketchy.
The old age pension orders were issued in books to those who were receiving the old age pension. It is entirely possible that other types of pension orders were issued to those receiving other pensions.
[edit] Collectability of the Old Age Pension Orders
Extant old age pension orders are actually quite scarce, but very few notaphilists are collecting them for this very reason, and they have never been catalogued.
