[edit] Removal of "importance" and "local" banners
Just to make sure, was it ok that I took down these two banners?:
{{local}}
I figured that since there has been some added information with cited sources that this banner was no longer needed. All of the new information is verifiable through the provided links.
{{importance|date=November 2006}}
Same with this banner. There is now information on this page that is of importance to the article. Though I do believe that this page could be expanded considerably.
If these aren't valid enough reasons, then I'll gladly put any of the two banners back up. --Renegade Replicant 23:24, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Noteable People
Could we add celebrities that went here like a few of the Get Up Kids and other Football players in the NFL, and me of course, just kidding. And we forgot to say anything about the Mascot! Go FALCONS! Moonraker0022 23:08, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- There is also Johnny Dare... who is on the "notable residents" list for Olathe, though he did not graduate apparently.--Renegade Replicant|leave me a message 23:49, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Legend has it that Johnny Dare ran through the school naked on a skooter. I went there like 10 years after he did, so I guess he left his mark. Moonraker0022 05:52, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
That "legend" is not true, according to a staff member who's been there since Dare was there. StaticElectric 07:48, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The swapping of paragraphs (for lack of a better term)
I moved some of the different paragraphs around so it'd flow better. While the alma matter and fight song are important, I felt that they'd go better at the bottom while the usual reference info such as the "clubs and "special programs" paragraphs would fit better underneath the general information. It makes the article easier to read. If anyone thinks I'm at fault here, make your reason known here before changing it back. Thanks.--Renegade Replicant|leave me a message 21:02, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability
The notability of this high school is currently unclear, since no secondary sources are cited. By the notability criteria for organizations, independent reliable sources are required to make sure that the subject is notable. That is, someone else should have written about the school in order for it to be considered notable. Such sources might be press coverage about the school (in more than a local newspaper), or books in which the school is mentioned; also notable awards won by the school could count. The sources may, but need not, be available online; it is however important that they are explicitly cited.
Currently, the article only cites primary sources (the school's own website, etc.).
I have removed the two banners above for technical reasons. I add a new banner "notability" to the article main page, and a few other tags. Please remove them only after issues have been addressed.
Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 17:24, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
