Ola Thorleif Ruud

Ola Thorleif Ruud (born 6 September 1926 in Ål) is a Norwegian politician from the Conservative Party.
He was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications from 1966 to July 1969 and October 1969 to 1971, during the cabinet Borten. He served as a deputy representative in the Norwegian Parliament from Buskerud during the terms 1958–61, 1961–65, 1965–1969 and 1969–1973.
On the local level he was a member of the executive committee of Ål municipality council from 1955 to 1959, served as mayor from 1959 to 1967 and was again a member from 1971 to 1975. From 1959 to 1963 he was also a member of Buskerud county council. He chaired the county party chapter from 1961 to 1969.
A cand.jur. by education (1951), he worked as a lawyer in Ål from 1955.
