Talk:Okavango River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- "100,000 native people who are caught between the interests of tourist operators"?
In Botswana, many of the tourist operators are "native" people. Or are you referring to "First people of the Kalahari" (Bushmen)? Sounds a bit unlikely. And does that make the Herero in Maun "native"? They don't see themselves as such, being very proud of their Namibian origins. Can this article be made clearer and avoid dodgy labels? [edit] Unusually
How unusually? I'm actually curious what other rivers "do not have an outlet in the sea."--T. Anthony 16:23, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
The discharge is incorrect - seems this is the discharge for the Congo River.
[edit] Primary Source of Income
I thought (diamond) mining was a bigger source of revenue than tourism for Botswana? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Socrates2008 (talk • contribs) 02:08, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
