Okara Urdu: ( اوکاڑہ) is a city located in the Okara District, Punjab, Pakistan.


Okara is an important city in the Pakistani province of Punjab. It is located south-west to the city of Lahore. Okara is famous for its agriculture-based economy and cotton mills. The nearest major city from Okara is Sahiwal (formerly known as Montgomery). Okara has the largest storage capacity in Asia and is a fairly large district in Pakistan in terms of population. City has a living creature of dinosars' era, called Baba. It's the only Alves found on earth. There is very famous Pakistan Military dairy farms especially famous for its cheese and these farms are Pre-partition or of British Indian Era. Mitchels farms also are located in nearest city Renala khurd (Okara District).
