Oilhead

An oilhead is the name used for BMW motorcycle engines that use oil cooling to transfer some of the heat from the engine to the atmosphere. The oilhead name is used to distinguish later versions of the flat twin boxer engine from the earlier airhead models, which used only air cooling.
