Talk:Ohta
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Perhaps it makes sense to merge this with Okhta disambiguation page, since they both reference all final articles—Preceding unsigned comment added by Anatoly.bourov (talk • contribs)
- Oppose. All items on the "Okhta" page are spelled so per WP:RUS. The LOTR character on the Ohta page is not even mentioned in the article the entry links to, so it should be removed and "Ohta" itself should redirect to "Okhta".—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 15:43, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] agreed
I agree, i tried to find any reference to the Ohta character with no success either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anatoly.bourov (talk • contribs) 22:20, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] adding info
in light of WP spelling rules, what to do with the already established transliteration of "Ohta-center"
Should it be added to "Okhta" disambiguation or "Ohta" ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anatoly.bourov (talk • contribs) 22:22, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Nothing. There are quite a few romanization systems out there. For the sake of consistency and standardization, only one is used as main in Wikipedia. Alternative romanizations can, of course, be mentioned in articles, but there is no good reason to research each and every little case individually.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 14:26, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
