[edit] Is the Ohio Naval Militia Military?

It seems that this organization is an armed voluntary organization much like the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary --- Safemariner 04:28, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Today (10/8/2007) on this page is written; The Ohio Naval Militia (ONM) is an unorganized, useless, unarmed unit that has been serving the State of Ohio and the United States since 1896.

I must admit that I have never seen the ONM in action, but it does sound a bit harsh to call them "unorganized and useless". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.93.20.86 (talk) 21:28, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
