[edit] New Union Building
This article contains information about a building currently under construction. It may contain information of a speculative nature, and the content may change dramatically and frequently as construction progresses and new information becomes available. |
The Ohio Union building, opened in 1951, is in the process of being replaced by a new building. Construction/demolition began in 2007 and the new building is scheduled to be finished for the 2010 school year. The new building will strive to be a model facility for other universities, like the original building was when it was completed. Ohio Stadium was chosen as the location to house most of the Union's activities during the transition period. As of January 30, 2007, the Ohio Union was officially closed and its staff fully moved into the stadium.
