Ohio State Route 726 is a state route in Western Ohio. It connects the village of New Madison indirectly with the city of Eaton. It also only runs through two villages, New Madison and Eldorado. State Route 726 starts in New Madison, at it's northern terminus in the middle of town at State Route 121. South of New Madison, Route 726 is a very curvy, winding road, all the way to the Preble-Darke County Line. Eldorado is just south of the county line, a small farming community that hails it's Zucchini Festival every year. South of Eldorado, 726 crosses U.S. Route 40, roughly between Richmond, Indiana and Lewisburg, Ohio. State Route 726 also crosses Interstate 70, but there is no direct connection to it from the highway. About 7 miles south of U.S. Route 40 is the southern terminus of State Route 726, at U.S. 127 about 2 miles north of Eaton.
