State Route 535 is an east-west state highway in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its western terminus is at State Route 283 one mile northwest of the center of Painesville and just north of that route’s interchange with State Route 2; the route’s eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 20 about 2½ miles northeast of Painesville. The route begins on a portion of Richmond Street which becomes High Street in Fairport Harbor; the route then follows East Street toward the north. It then turns east onto Fairport Nursery Road, following that road all the way to its terminus at U.S. Route 20, which is just after State Route 535’s interchange with State Route 2.
