State Route 292 is a state highway in Hardin and Logan Counties in the western part of the U.S. state of Ohio, northwest of the state capital of Columbus. A two-lane road, it follows a primarily north-south route in the eastern parts of the two counties, although toward its southern end it inclines westward.
[edit] History
Certified in 1933, the highway originally traveled from Ridgeway to Mount Victory. It was expanded from East Liberty to Kenton five years later.[2] When U.S. Route 33 was converted to a limited-access highway in the 1990s, State Route 292 was extended again, taking over several miles of the highway's former right-of-way, as far as a point in southern Jefferson Township between Zanesfield and Valley Hi.[3][4]
