  • 1926 – Route 231 certified. Originally routed from Nevada to 1 mile north of Nevada.[2]
  • 1932 – Extended to 3 miles north of Morral along previous unnumbered road.[2]
  • 1933 – Extended to Morral along previous unnumbered road.[2]
  • 1938 – Extended to 2 miles north of Deunquat along previous unnumbered road.[2]
  • 1939 - Extended to Tiffin along previous unnumbered road.[2]
