State Route 186 is a north-south state highway in the northwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The highway travels through mostly rural areas, with its southern terminus at the U.S. Route 224/State Route 15 concurrency nearly 4 miles south-southeast of McComb. Its northern terminus is in McComb at the eastern terminus of the State Route 235/State Route 613 concurrency; State Route 235 continues north and State Route 613 continues east.

  • 1924 – Original route established[2]; originally routed along its current alignment and north to Hoytville along current State Route 235[3].
  • 1938 – Truncated at McComb when the remaining alignment was certified as part of the former State Route 69 (now State Route 235)[3][4].
