From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ohio Roller Girls (OHRG) is a WFTDA certified Women's Flat Track Roller Derby League based in Columbus, Ohio. The league, which was founded in March, 2005 by Melissa Wallace,[1][2] held their first bout in Battelle Hall at the Columbus Convention Center on April 23, 2006.[3] In 2007, the league began holding bouts at the Lausche Building at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. The league consists of four home teams which include: The Band of Brawlers, The Blackeye Bullies, The Sprockettes and The Take-Outs. [4] Each team has a unique theme. The Brawlers are the WWII-inspired military team, the Bullies are schoolyard bullies, the Sprockettes are from space, and the Take-Outs are ninja-esque. The league also has an All-Stars team that competes against other WFTDA certified and non-WFTDA leagues from around the country.
