"Ohio Is for Lovers" is the debut single by the band Hawthorne Heights, taken from their debut album The Silence in Black and White.
[edit] Story
As described in their special edition of "Silence in Black and White" JT says that this song is about them going on tour everywhere and not having their girlfriends with them and when they wrote it they were all fighting with their girlfriends. So simply put it's about their girlfriends being back home, in Ohio.
[edit] Music video
The video shows the band playing in an old building and a little girl inhaling at a rapid rate. It also shows the other band members performing in the building. There is also close-up footage of spiders, spinning their webs in various areas of the building. It was directed by Shane C. Drake. Eron Bucciarelli, Hawthorne Height's drummer, is seen at the end mouthing the words Casey Calvert is screaming in the song. They have also said they are wearing each other's clothes.
