Ohio's 23rd congressional district

The 23rd congressional district of Ohio was eliminated in the redistricting following the 1980 census. The district had been created after the elimination of the at-large seat after the 1950 election.

- Redistricting following the 1980 census eliminated the 23rd district. In 1982, Mottl was defeated in the Democratic primary for nomination to his new district.
- Bender was the incumbent for the at-large seat, which was eliminated after the 1950 election.
