[edit] Welcome

Thank you for your contributions on the Steve Poizner page. That page can really use some work, seeing that he's a potential candidate for Governor in 2010. Wikipedia:Welcoming committee/Welcome to Wikipedia will have some more information about contributing. I noticed you contributed a picture but haven't put it on the page yet. Unless you took the picture yourself or the picture's rights have been released to the public domain, it will be deleted. If you don't fill in the copyright, it will also be deleted. I also noticed you edited the page after it was vandalized. You undid most of the damage manually but missed one error that I fixed. You can undo vandalism by going to the page history and hitting the undo button on the previous edit if the last edit was vandalism. You can compare pages to be sure about which edit is vandalism. Anyways, welcome to wikipedia and happy editing.User:calbear22 (talk) 18:16, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Thank you for your input and for watching over the Steve Poizner page as it has undergone development. It is a work in progress and there will be further additions and changes in the near future. We appreciate your diligence. After discussions with wikipedia administrators, and due to the increased scrutiny/vandalism, we will be locking the Poizner page shortly, such that no public editing, and only select admins, have full access. We have found that admins like yourself are excellent contributors, but without primary source information (direct from the principal or his/her organization) elected officials wikipedia pages tend to be scattered and, frankly, full of misinformation. Locking the profiles of elected officials is a common action in this regard, so please do not take it personally. If you would like to be involved in the future development of the page, or would like to play a role in continuing an admin role, feel free to let me know and I will certainly pass it along to the responsible parties.

Thank you again.

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Poizner.JPG

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Poizner.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:00, 11 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Genisock2 (talk) 02:00, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
