Ognjen Amidžić

Ognjen Amidžić (Serbian Cyrillic: Огњен Амиџић) (born June 17, 1975 in Šabac, Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian TV host and musician. His father Zoran Amidžić was a journalist on TV Šabac.

He is currently a member of the Flamingosi duo, along with actor Marinko Madžgalj. Amidžić's stage name in the duo is Renato.

Education: The Faculty of History, final year student

• 1995-1997 He worked as VJ on TV Šabac chart show VJ 015

• 1997-2001 He began his career on RTS and Radio 202 in the following shows – Garaža, Hit meseca, Music hot report

• 2001 – 2006 RTV Pink Jutarnji program (Morning Show) – an author show that set entirely new standards for live shows realization. Directness, action shooting, new attitude and approach to famous guests and anonymous yet interesting guests were some things that made “Jutarnji program” one of the most popular shows on RTV Pink. The show unquestionably became a hit and as its broadcast time was 9 a.m., it recorded a greater rating as a lot of teenagers began to woke up early only to watch Ognjen’s show. This is the program that certainly acknowledged Ognjen as a TV host of high quality, and launched him to the top of Serbian media scene. Balkan.NET – Another author show having the youth as a target group. New accomplishments – simultaneous programme broadcasting from 4 studios (Belgrade, Sarajevo, Podgorica and Banja Luka). This show covers the area of former Yugoslavia and is still being broadcast in Bosnia and Montenegro, and on RTV Pink satellite channel.

A new TV project is being prepared at the moment, and it will be aired in the prime time of RTV Pink.

Being a versatile person, Ognjen Amidzic formed a music band “Flamingoes” together with an actor, Marinko Madzgalj. In a short period of time, they became very popular and almost won the award at national Eurosong contest. They organized many concerts in countries of the former Republic of Yugoslavia.
