To-do list for Ogle County, Illinois:

Here are some tasks you can do:

[edit] Updating

With the Wiki Project on Illinois, I am going to begin getting more info updated on this page, and the other towns, villages, and unincorporated areas. I have started by adding to the city list.--Kranar drogin 18:18, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

If anyone has the seal for the county, could they add that? I can not find one.--Kranar drogin 15:47, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Does Ogle County even have a seal, because DeKalb County's webpage talks about their seal very prominently [1] and there isn't a single mention of a seal on Ogle County's website. A cursory examination of some of the online county documents revealed that they contained no seal either. DeKalb County even puts there seal on press releases. I am leaning toward there not being one. Is there Ogle Countys bylaws or code or whatever anywhere online, I didn't see it just browsing their site, but I will look harder. [edit] My own little improvement drive (March 2007)

For comparison county, take a look at these, then remove them once you have picked one:

Couldn't find a FA one or a GA for that matter.--Kranar drogin 04:46, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lists

I know the U.S. Counties guidelines say to have a bunch of lists in the article. There is no reason to have them as part of the main article, we can use summary style and instead of listing the communities maybe we can actually tell something about them in relation to Ogle County in general. Lists are not a hallmark of a well-written article. The information can be much better conveyed otherwise. IvoShandor 01:50, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

I think our lists should become more dynamic. For an example see List of Pennsylvania state parks, it would be neat if we could do something similar. IvoShandor 01:55, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I will see what I can find info wise on the seal. I was never able to find it either, even going through all the on-line forms. I have a few friends on the county board, I will see what they say too. Pictures, let me know what you want. Even though you are over there in DeKalb, it is very easy for me to get what is needed. I am not sure if I have a picture around here of Stronghold Castle, but that would be something of importance to link to. I like that list of state parks, that looks cool. Do we have a link for the county guidelines? I will help with this drive too. Man, two at once. Yeah.--Kranar drogin 03:54, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I like to to do that to. See National Register of Historic Places and its associated article's histories. IvoShandor 03:57, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
There is also a flag located at the county courthouse I think I was told, but I would have to BUY that haha. No image on the net of that either.--Kranar drogin 04:33, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Found a large list of stuff that is in Ogle here [2]. Hope this helps!--Kranar drogin 04:38, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
