Ogden Bruton

Ogden Bruton (1908-2003) was an immunologist who published a description of X-linked agammaglobulinemia in 1952.[1]

The condition is sometimes referenced by his name: "Bruton-type agammaglobulinemia". The gene associated with this defect is also named after him: Btk, abbreviation for Bruton's tyrosine kinase.
