[edit] Overview
In the American television series M*A*S*H, in gratitude for saving his son’s life, a General gives the 4077th a prefabricated Officers Club. Normal military protocol says it’s restricted to officers only, much to the consternation of most camp personnel. Hawkeye and Trapper launch a plan to get the camp opened up to everybody.
The enlisted son of the general who gave the club is denied entrance but they relent for "relatives of officers." Hawkeye then goes on to "adopt" all the enlisted personnel.
