Oerlikon Balzers is a supplier of PVD coatings which improves the performance and service lives of metallic precision components. These coating are very hard and very thin, reduce friction and improve hardness of components.
Balzers was created in 1978 in Liechtenstein. The firm has grown very quickly and owns 70 coating centers all over the world (Germany, USA, Italy, France, UK, Brazil, Japan). 2500 persons now work for Balzers. The turnover is equivalent to 250 Millions € with a net Income of 30 Millions €.
