Oenocarpus bacaba is a palm native to Amazon Rainforest vegetation in Brazil, which have edible fruits. This plant is cited in Flora Brasiliensis by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius.

It is also called bacaba, bacaba açu, bacaba-de-leque, and bacaba verdadeira in Brazil; ungurauy in Peru; camon in French Guiana; and manoco, milpesos, and punáma in Colombia.
