Oedura is a medium-sized genus of nocturnal species of Velvet geckos.
They are mostly arboreal and have toepads. In the wild they are secretive tree-dwellers usually concealing themselves beneath peeling bark or in crevices. All species are adapted to their dry conditions and can go for months without food or water.
