Odugathur is a panchayat town in Vellore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], Odugathur had a population of 8038. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Odugathur has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 54%. In Odugathur, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. Odugathur is prominent town panchayat caters 50 villages around it. Odugathur has very big Shopping Complex owned by C.S.Vasan. It has Fire Station, Hospital caters surrounding village people.
