The Odessa State Medical University is a university in the city of Odessa, Ukraine.

Founded in 1900

Government university with partial autonomy.

Recognized/Listed by World Health Organization, International Association of Universities, European University Association, Medical Councils of almost all major countries, including USA, UK, Europe, India & others.

OSMU is a member of Bologne Process (Single European area of higher education).

OSMU is the only university of Ukraine, which is a member of MEDINE (Medical EDucation IN Europe).

Odessa State Medical University is the first university of Ukraine which started medical education in English medium in 1996. In 2005, OSMU was awarded with a medal for the development of modern model for teaching the English speaking students by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Students strength: 4000.

Foreign students: Presently around 1200 foreign students from 52 various countries. Foreign students have been studying since 1946.

Clinical Base: The clinical centers of the University have 9648 patient beds. These clinical centers, which include well equipped 35 hospitals, have all conditions & facilities for practice & training for its doctors and students.

Library with total stock of more than one million books.

Students’ Polyclinic: Provides medical aid to students free of cost.

Six Hostels: Fully furnished with all facilities.

Sport Complex with all indoor & outdoor sports facilities.

Students' Club/Cultural and Scientific Societies.

Students' Recreation Centre: Located on the coast of Black Sea where up to 500 students can rest at a time.
