Photo by User:Angelbo taken aug. 2006 in Odense. Caption: Sign post in Odense, Denmark, showing landmarks and other locations relevant for tourists. It is located near Torvegade and I. Vilh. Werners Plads. The pointers indicate the following locations:

  • Left: The house of Hans Christian Andersen (top), police station (below)
  • Centre: Odense Railway Station
  • Right: Hans Christian Andersen Gardens (a public park) (top), Blandts Klædefabrik (a former textile mill turned art museum) (middle), City Hall Square (Flakhaven) (bottom).

A symbol of a swan serves is located on top of the post. This symbol was adopted by the city in 1988 as part of the city's millennium anniversary. It refers to Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Ugly Duckling".
