A good template to start. However, i have a couple suggestions to improve it:

make it so you can simply type the template like {{user website|[http://myweb.example my website}} , and have it show your website.

my second idea: how about a generic globe or internet icon, preferrably something GPL/GFDL/GNU-friendly. i could make one if the users of wikipedia wish. examples: the Konquerer icon, FireFox, Mozilla... even a simple globe would work.
