Note that the links in the calendar at the upper right do not work with preferences set to another than the default date format, like October 1, 2004.--Patrick 15:32, Nov 2, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Persistent leap in internet traffic around October 2004?
Does anyone know why Alexa recorded a significant leap in Web traffic on all major portal sites (but not on news sites or other types of sites) around October 2004? I can't find any reason for it but I consistently see this pattern in traffic data for portal sites.
e.g.:
- http://traffic.alexa.com/graph?w=900&h=350&r=20y&y=r&u=aol.com&u=netscape.com&u=download.com&u=cnet.com
If you can work out what the cause of this is please let me know (ian@hixie.ch).
