From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Octavia Thurina Major or Octavia Major (Major Latin for the elder, flourished 1st century BC) was a daughter of the Roman governor and senator Gaius Octavius from his first wife, Ancharia. Little is known of her, apart from the fact that she was living in 40 BC. Plutarch states that she was a beautiful and admirable woman. Octavia Major was an elder half-sister to Octavia Minor and Roman Emperor Augustus.
