[edit] Band history
Octane has played with such national acts as Sevendust, Fuel, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Three Doors Down, and Staind. Brian Bortnick has played acoustically for years prior to the formation of the band, mainly around the Philadelphia area. The band enjoys a fairly large following, considering the band is unsigned (as of January 2007), and not largely known outside of their locale.
November 30, 2006: Octane performed live on The Opie and Anthony Show at their XM Studio. They were handed the remainder of the show that day as Opie needed to leave early to go house hunting. Octane played 5 live acoustic songs.
September 2007: Octane performed at two Virus Tour events. North NJ & Camden, NJ
September 24, 2007: Octane announces on their website, www.octanerocks.com, that Brian Bortnick will be leaving the band. Octane will continue with a new singer (to be determined).
October 2007, Octane announces their new singer will be David Simpson. He made his debut on November 30, 2007.
