[edit] License tagging for Image:Keeley san diego.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Keeley san diego.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:07, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for writing the article Matt Miller (musician). Unfortunately, it doesn't conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, and has, as a result, been marked for deletion. However, please do not be disheartened by what may or may not happen to your first article, if indeed it is deleted - please continue to edit Wikipedia and add articles which conform with the inclusion criteria. For help, see Help:Contents. To find out what will probably be deleted, see Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Thanks, and if you have any questions, please ask them on my user talk page. To do this, click on my name (just after this sentence) and click discussion at the top and then the (+) button at the top. SLSB talk ER 03:33, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Matt Miller

Hi - Since you were working on the page while it got deleted, I recreated it for you in your userspace - you can find the page at User:Ocstat/Matt Miller. If you want to continue to work on it, and then let me know I'll be glad to take a look at it before you move it back into main space and give you suggestions. Generally speaking, you're going to want multiple reliable sources that will establish notability for musicians. I know that's fairly broad, but I'm not sure exactly what's out there on this guy, so it's hard to answer specifically. Keep working on it, then let me know and I'll take a look at it before it's moved into mainspace and hopefully that will keep it live. Thanks! - - Philippe | Talk 04:34, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Austere.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Austere.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:58, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Jim Ward's Quiett.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Jim Ward's Quiett.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:55, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
