Ochre River, Manitoba

Ochre River is a small community in the Canadian province of Manitoba approximately half-way between Dauphin and Ste. Rose du Lac. The community has a post office, general store, restaurant, school, community center and a municipality office.
Originally founded by Sir Douglas Thompson(May 12,1874-March 23, 1938) in the year of 1893 as a farm town. The town has many of the same buildings as it does when it first began.
