Ochre Pit Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador

Ochre Pit Cove was a small place in the Bay de Verde area. The Postoffice was located in Carbonear around 1864. The first Waymaster in 1882 wasJosiah Garlkand. In 1891 the first Postmistriss was Bridget Perfect on May 30, 1891. It had a population of 158 in 1956.
