Ocenebrinae is a taxonomic subfamily of predatory sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks. This subfamily is within the large family Muricidae, which are commonly known as the murex and rock snails.

In one other version of current gastropod taxonomy, three of these genera are grouped by themselves in a small subfamily called Haustrinae.

(Note: Gastropod taxonomy has been actively in flux for many years. This is especially true currently, because of new research in molecular phylogeny. Because of all of this on-going change, different reliable sources can yield very different classifications, especially within certain poorly understood groups. The Muricidae or murex snails is a very large family, and a difficult family to make sense of taxonomically.)
