Oceanside High School is one of three high schools of the Oceanside Unified School District, located in Oceanside, California.

The high school also maintains a close athletic rivalry with El Camino High School.

The school mascot is the Pirate.

Oceanside High School's football team is ranked 3rd in division 2 south, 7th in the state, and 58th nationwide according to the calpreps.com power rankings. The Pirates have won three consecutive CIF championships in 2004, 2005, and 2006 led by Coach John Caroll. As of 11/5/07 the Pirates are 7-1. A notable accomplishment was defeating the Carlsbad Lancers who had a 25-game winning streak before their loss to Oceanside 31-7. The 2007 season was Oceanside High School's best. The Pirates went 8-1 during regular season winnining by a margin of at least 20 points a game. They steamrolled over their first playoff opponents Rancho Bernardo. And in what was the toughest game of their season the Pirates played La Costa in their second and final playoff game in a very muddy field with heavy winds and rain. The win sent them to Qualcomm Stadium for their 4th conescutive CIF Championship, where they defeated Mission Hills 26-7 and won a FOURTH CONSECUTIVE championship. Following the CIF win, word was released that Oceanside qualified for the State Bowl. The game was played at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles where Oceanside defeated Novato of Marin County 28-14 and became the first San Diego County team to ever appear in and win a state championship.
