Oceanian records in swimming
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Below is a list of current Oceanian swimming records as ratified by the continental governing body Oceania Swimming Association. The current members of the association are American Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tahiti. Currently, Australian swimmers hold all but four Oceanian records, the men's 200 metres butterfly long course and short course records which are both held by New Zealander Moss Burmester; the women's 200 metres backstroke short course record which is currently held by fellow New Zealander Melissa Ingram; and the 4x100 metres medley relay short course record, currently held by the New Zealand team of Daniel Bell, Glenn Snyders, Corney Swanepoel and Cameron Gibson.
