Obits are an American rock band, formed in 2006 in Brooklyn, New York. They are led by Rick Froberg, guitarist and vocalist for influential American post-hardcore groups Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes.

Obits made their live debut 12th January 2008 at Cake Shop in New York City and are finalizing material for their first album.
