Obinautilus awaensis is an extinct species of octopus. It was described in 1983 based on fossil material from the Pliocene Senhata Formation in Boso Peninsula, Japan.[1]

This taxon was originally described as a species of Argonauta, but has since been transferred to the genus Obinautilus.[2]
