I stumbled into interactions with User:MathStatWoman while contributing to the AfD discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roberta Wenocur. A subsequent AfD I came across, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brenda Dvorkin was also created by MathStatWoman, and it turned out that she was apparently creating a number of articles on friends or colleagues in the Pennsylvania academic community. It also appears that MathStatWoman is using sockpuppets (as she has in the past). Hopefully the closing of the AfDs will make these problems and users go away, but I've created these notes for anyone interested.
[edit] Sockpuppetry
MathStatWoman has a previously Checkuser-confirmed history of sockpuppetry (here, by User:Kelly Martin), and recently, User:Philly Student and User:WomanTreatedUnfairly have been confirmed (here, by Fred Bauder), while User: Bioinformatician would also seem to be an obvious one. There have also been a couple of posts from a Verizon Philadelphia DSL IP 71.242.164.228 (previously used by MathStatWoman when not logged in) purporting to be from someone else.
After doing a theatrical departure exercise in August, MathStatWoman returned Sept 8 [1], creating articles on minimal Biblical figures (Utz (Bible) and Buz), and complaining that the Utz chips article didn't belong. A few minutes later, another Verizon Philadelphia IP ( shows up to nominate Utz chips for deletion, as well as Marion Cohen, Dennis DeTurck and other MathStatWoman targets, while again pretending not to be her [2].
[edit] Likely meatpuppetry or logrolling with Users Ksingh20 and MxM Peace
After the Elaine Zanutto article (created by MathStatWoman) was speedy deleted (here), User:Ksingh20 created Elaine Louise Zanutto with the same text, which would presumably have been unavailable and thus supplied to him by MathStatWoman. Ksingh20 is a new account, with only a handful of edits to Sikh-related topics. The connection would seem to be the AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SGGS on Meat, which Ksingh20 contributed to. Another new user User:MxM Peace also contributed there, and to MathStatWoman AfDs, and has been determined to be a sockpuppet of Ksingh20 (here).
In regards to the Ksingh20/MxM Peace connection to MathStatWoman, the only thing that pops out is a posting (here) by an established user (User:Harisingh), saying "see if you can support me and I will try and do the same and ask my colleagues to review your articles as well and offer their support if possible". It is possible that this has triggered the Ksingh20/MxM Peace antics.
As User:Michael Hardy points out (here), admins would have access to the deleted text. However, I would have great trouble (putting it mildly) believing that a 3 day old user somehow decided he wanted to recreate an article completely unrelated to his 20-odd edits, made an off-wiki request to an admin for the text, received the text off-wiki, and created the article. Unless KSingh20 returns at some point, the question is moot.
The User:MxM Peace sockpuppet, incidentally, was indef-blocked for making some rather amusing legal threats (here).
[edit] Inappropriate behavior
MathStatWoman has made a number of offensive statements accusing those disagreeing with her of being "misogynists" ([3]), or acting to eliminate women's biographies on Wikipedia (), as well as general rants against harassment, powermongers, bullying admins, etc.
On two occasions, MathStatWoman has inserted inappropriate material based on these views into article space - misogyny (diff) and Lawrence Summers (diff).
