Ober-Flörsheim is a municipality in the district Alzey-Worms, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

Upper-Flörsheim is situated on a plateau in the wine growing area of Rheinhessen.

First mention was "Flarlesheim superiori"in the year 776 in a gift directory of the monastery Lorsch. From 1237 to the outgoing 18 Operation Teutonic Order Forthcoming in the village. Since 1506 belonged to the upper Flörsheim Kurpfalz and belong to the Oberamt Alzey. In 30-year-old war devastated Swedish Force n the Communist end and the village. 1689 drew the Palatinate devastation French troops under King Louis XIV the place again in severe damage.

During the wars after the French Revolution was on 30 March 1793 in a battle of top-Floersheim, the Prussia France suggested. This victory was the final success of the French people not prevent, so that the upper Flörsheim left with the other areas 1797, and annexed part of the Department Mont Tonnerre (Donnersberg).

After the repression of the French Empire in 1816 Ober-Flörsheim became part of the newly established province Rheinhessen Grand Duchy of Hesse-Darmstadt.

On 20 March 1945, American troops occupied the village, but in the summer 1945 it has been added to the French occupied zone and the countries of new federal land to the new Rhineland-Palatinate came from. Since 1972, it belongs to the community association Alzey country.

Though reformed in the 16th century, the Catholic church service was introduced in 1698 again. The Reformed gained in 1705 Palatine church division again the domination of the parish church. Long term both religions existed side by side. 1747, the Lutheran Confession confession built a church in a third place. In 1876 was the release Protestant community , a fork of the Evangelical church, founded.
