What is the legal status if one omits the "So help me God"? Is there a provision for that? Ingolfson (talk) 07:24, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

You can take an affirmation, which omits the reference to God, instead of an Oath. It has the same legal effect. Personally I think we should only have affirmations, but that's just me. --Lholden (talk) 00:48, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
