Wouldn't this form of oath have been required by Jewish religious teaching too? Surely the swearing of an oath by a Jew in a public forum - before God - would have been subject to the strictures of his own religion? I guess I'm just wary (and weary) of every different treatment of the Jews being listed as a form of anti-semitism.--Shtove 01:35, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
