Oakura

Oakura is a small settlement in Taranaki, in the western North Island of New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 45 just 12 kilometres west of New Plymouth.
Perhaps the best known land mark in Oakura is the local pub - Butler's Reef
On 5 July 2007 the town was hit by a tornado, which damaged 60 houses. [1]
