Oakmont Regional High School is a public high school in New England, located in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. Its students come from both Ashburnham and neighboring Westminster which together comprise the regional School District. The superintendent of the district is Dr. Michael Zapantis. Somebody, please stop the voices.

We will graduate students who satisfy Oakmont Regional High School graduation requirements and demonstrate proficiency in:

A regional school planning board was established by Westminster in 1954 and Ashburnham in 1955. The concept of building Oakmont Regional Junior-Senior High School was proposed by the school committee in 1957. After receiving town approval, construction was started in January 1959. The new school opened in September 1960 at a cost of 750k.[1]

As a result by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges visit in 1994 it was determined that after 34 years major renovations were needed. In the summer of 2001 construction began and was completed 26 months later at a cost of $33 Million dollars. http://www.awrsd.org/design/site_flash/index-1.html#]

  • The football team were the Massachusetts state champion team for Division III in 2006.
  • The Basketball team were State Finalists for Division II in 2005
  • The Oakmont-Overlook Marching Spartans, the school's marching band, are the state champions in Division IIIA on the USSBA circuit
