Oaklawn Handicap

The Oaklawn Handicap is a race for thoroughbred horses run at Oaklawn Park each year. The race is open to horses, age three and up, willing to race one and one-eighth miles on the dirt. A Grade II event, it carries a purse of $500,000.
Master Derby won the Oaklawn in 1976. Temperence Hill won it in 1981. Wild Again, the winner of the very first Breeders' Cup Classic, took this race in 1984. Turkoman took it in 1986.
