The Oakland Coliseum Amtrak/BART Station is actually a reference to two separate stations of two public transit providers that are within 600ft (183m) of each other: Amtrak Capitol Corridor's Oakland Coliseum station and Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)'s Coliseum/Oakland Airport station. They are located in East Oakland, and are connected directly to each other and to the McAfee Coliseum and the Oracle Arena, hence the names, by a pedestrian bridge.
BART and Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA), Capitol Corridor's administration agency, will sometimes refer to these separate stations as one station.
AirBART shuttle bus and AC Transit bus routes 50 and 805 all run between the BART station and Oakland International Airport.
BART's Coliseum/Oakland Airport station consists of an elevated island platform with the concourse mezzanine at ground level. Capitol Corridor's Oakland Coliseum station consists of a side platform on a side track; it is also the newest Capitol Corridor station.

[edit] History
BART's Coliseum/Oakland Airport station, opened on September 11, 1972 along with BART,[1] was originally connected to the Oakland Coliseum and Oakland Arena by a pedestrian bridge that went above the tracks later used by Capitol Corridor since its inception in 1991. In 2002, CCJPA, in conjunction with Caltrans and City of Oakland, decided to build a station there as a part of Capitol Corridor improvement projects. The new station, officially named "Oakland Coliseum" station, was opened on May 25, 2005, and included a new connection to the original BART-Oakland Coliseum pedestrian bridge, thus enabling transfers between the two services.
There are currently plans to develop the area around the two stations for which the new Amtrak station was part of.[2] There are also plans for a new people mover to Oakland International Airport connecting to the BART station, and possibly connecting directly to both.[3]
