[edit] Overview and History

Oakdale Country Club is nestled in the hills of western Maine and is known for its beautiful scenery. The course was established in 1923 by members of the local paper mill. At that time, there were 400 members at the course, and it was a popular destination for a friendly round of golf. Today, Oakdale has around 200 members, which means that there is virtually no waiting time to tee off. The course has undergone numerous renovations and improvements and now has nine beautiful holes that members and guests can enjoy. Oakdale features four sets of tees: White, Blue, Red, and Yellow. White and blue are used as the front and back nine tees, respectively, with red and yellow being used for ladies. In 2004, Oakdale CC was called a "hidden gem" by the Lewiston Daily Sun. [1]

Oakdale's President is Mark Burton, Clubhouse Manager is Dave Weston, and Superintendent is Fred Shardlow.

Oakdale awards a scholarship every year to a deserving high school senior from the local area.

Oakdale is home to the local Mountain Valley High School Golf Team, which has achieved moderate success in the last decade.

Oakdale provides onsite GHIN Handicap recording.
