Oak Investment Partners

Oak Investment Partners is a venture capital firm with offices in Westport, Conn., Minneapolis, Minn. and Palo Alto, Calif. Between Oak's founding in 1978 and the summer of 2006, Oak has invested in more than 435 companies, committing $8.4 billion in capital.[1] Oak invests in companies developing communications systems, information technology, new Internet media, healthcare services and retail.
In May, 2006, Oak raised its 12th fund, at $2.56 billion reportedly the largest venture capital fund ever.[2]
